Crops for Energy (C4E) is one of the UK's leading independent authorities on energy crops and their use in biomass energy schemes. The company was set up in 2004 and provides advice on all aspects of growing, supplying and use of energy crops and has a client base ranging from individual householders to businesses, local authorities, large estates and nature conservation bodies. Activities include project management, marketing and sales of SRC willow varieties, management of energy crop establishment and boiler installations, negotiating supply contracts, grant applications and accreditations. Additionally C4E runs training courses and is a regular contributor to trade journals. Our mission is to promote energy crops as part of an integrated agricultural system providing multipurpose environmental benefits. Our knowledge is not limited to the energy crop sector - we also help clients understand the economic benefits and technical issues in mobilizing biomass from undermanaged woodland and wetland habitats.
