The Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is a third-level educational and research institution based in Dublin, Ireland which awards degrees up to and including PhD level. It comprises four colleges: Engineering and the Built Environment; Science and Health; Business; and Arts and Tourism. It currently has approximately 20,000 students.
The Dublin Energy Lab (DEL) is an interdisciplinary research group based at the DIT working in the fields of energy and renewable energy research. It specialises in energy device/systems development and policy research across three main themes: smart networks; energy storage; and renewable energy systems. Other research areas include: transport; behavioural economics; and marketing. DEL has been involved in a variety of studies involving multiple stakeholders in energy-related industries. DIT has extensive experience of participating in coordinating national and international research projects.
